In July 1921, John Thomas Wallett purchased this house from Edward Critoph, who was a builder (and most likely built this house).
J.T. Wallett and his wife Elizabeth had previously lived at Orakau Ave, Greenwood’s Corner, Epsom, and it is thought that they named their Mt Albert home after their earlier address.
The Walletts lived in this house for a few years, then purchased and moved to 40 Kitenui Ave.
