NAME:
Richbourne St was known as Richmond St until 1938 when many streets in Mt Albert were renamed.
Between 1938 and 1985, Richbourne St was spelled Richborne St.
DESCRIPTION:
Richbourne St is a cul de sac that runs north west from Aitken Tce. It terminates at the Northwestern Motorway.
On the north / east side of the road lie numbers 1 to 19. On the south / west side lie numbers 2 to 16.
FACTS ABOUT THIS STREET:
1937: “described as 12 chains and 18 residences, and one of the first streets in the area” (Auckland Libraries, n.d.).
