Edendale Rd

NAME:

Edendale Rd was sometimes called Eden Dale Rd.

DESCRIPTION:

Edendale Rd is a short no-exit road that runs south from New North Rd in Kingsland to the Kingsland Railway Station.

Edendale Rd used to be much longer. In 1929 part of it was renamed Sandringham Rd.

In 1912 part of Edendale Rd (west from #234) was renamed Balmoral Rd. This has earlier been named Epsom-Mt Albert Rd (Auckland Libraries, n.d.).

A fuller description of the history of this road is needed.
