NAME:

Fourth Ave’s name is self explanatory.

DESCRIPTION:

Fourth Ave runs from and extends the north end of Central Rd to Don Croot St in Kingsland.

Kingsland Ave and School Rd bisects it.

Numbers 9 to 75 lie on the north side of the road. Numbers 4 to 70 lie on the south side of the road.

1882: Created by subdivision (Auckland Libraries, n.d.)

1937: “described as 31 chains long, with 36 residences” (Auckland Libraries, n.d.).
