NAME:
Marlborough St was earlier known as Emma St.
Marlborough St was probably named after the Duke of Marlborough (Auckland Libraries, n.d.).
Emma St was named after a daughter of John Walters (Davenport, 1990, p.137).
DESCRIPTION:
Marlborough St runs south from Onslow Rd to Burnley Tce. Only the northern half, to Ranleigh Rd, is in Mt Albert. The southern part is in Mt Eden.
Marlborough St is bisected by Walters Rd. Ranleigh Rd runs off it.
On the west side, numbers run from 1 to 35. On the east side, numbers run from 2 to 26.
