Marne Rd

NAME:

Marne Rd was known as Marne Ave between 1916 and 1934 (Davenport, 1990, p.138).

Marne Ave was known as Hansen Rd until 1916 (Davenport, 1990, p.138).

Marne Ave was named after the River Marne in France, on the WW1 battlefield.

DESCRIPTION:

Marne Rd runs west from Sandringham Rd to Duncan Ave.

On the north side of the road lie numbers 1 to 17. On the south side lie numbers 2 to 18.
