NAME:

Duncan Ave was previously known as Cross St (Auckland Libraries, n.d.).

Duncan Ave was named after Alfred Duncan who purchased Allotment 126 in 1918 (Davenport, 1990, p.66).

DESCRIPTION:

Duncan Ave runs south from Kitchener Rd to Mt Albert Rd.

Duncan Ave is bisected by Haverstock Rd and Taumata Rd. Marne Rd and Eden View Rd run off it.

Numbering starts south of Haverstock Rd, and On the west side, numbers run from 1 to 29, followed by Taumata Reserve, and there are no numbers between Taumata Rd and Mt Albert Rd. On the east side, numbers run from 2 to 26, ceasing at Marne Ave.
