NAME:

Parry St was earlier known as Totara St.

The street was named after Sir William Parry (1790-1855), the Arctic explorer (Auckland Libraries, n.d.; Davenport, 1990 p.171).

Totara St was named after the tree.

DESCRIPTION:

Parry St runs south east from Sandringham Rd and ends at Renfrew Ave. Kiwitea St crosses it.

Numbers 1 to 31 lie on the south side of the road. Numbers 2 to 36 lie on the north side.
