NAME:

Renfrew Ave is named after a County in Scotland, associated with the Earl of Ranfurly (Davenport, 1990, p.191).

DESCRIPTION:

The west side of Renfrew Ave is in Mt Albert.

Renfrew Ave runs north from Mt Albert Rd. Parry St intersects it from the west. On the east it is intersected by Louvain Ave and Haig Ave. At its north end it turns east and becomes Invermay Ave.

On the west side of the road lie numbers 2 to 82.

FACTS ABOUT THIS STREET:

1937: “described as 800 yards long, with 26 residences and named 10 years before (1927)” (Auckland Libraries, n.d.).
