NAME:
Taumata means “brow of a hill” or “resting place on a hill” (Auckland Libraries, n.d.).
This was the name of an estate subdivided in 1909 (Davenport, 1990, p.221).
DESCRIPTION:
Taumata Rd runs north west from Sandringham Rd. Watea Rd and Fowlds Ave run off it. Euston Rd bisects it. To the west of Euston Rd is a cul de sac. The end curls back towards the north east.
Numbers 1 to 117 lie on the north east side of the road. Numbers 2 to 116 lie on the south west side of the road.
