Counsel Tce is named after Judge Rogan, the original subdivider of this land (Auckland Libraries, n.d.).
Counsel Tce runs north east from Carrington Rd to Lloyd Ave.
On the south side run numbers 1 to 11. On the north side run numbers 2 to 16.
FACTS ABOUT THIS STREET:
Up to 1926. A track of some sort ran east from Lloyd Ave along the route of Thomas Ave, continuing the formed road that is the modern Councel Tce. See the note on the Thomas Ave page for more information about this.
15 Counsel Tce. This block of flats had the name “Mt Albert Court” painted on the bargeboard at the highest point. This was in place before Feb 2008, and disappeared between March 2012 and April 2014 (Google Street View)
