Woodward Rd

NAME:

Woodward Rd is named after Mark Woodward. He was a settler who bred Romney sheep. (Davenport, 1990, p.251). The street was in existence in 1872. (Auckland Libraries, n.d.)

DESCRIPTION:

Woodward Rd runs from New North Rd to Carrington Rd.

Jersey Ave, Harbutt Ave, Willcott St, Fairleigh Ave and Springleigh Ave run off it.

On the western side, numbers run from 2 to 70. On the eastern side, numbers run from 1 to 81.
